For the first time in I don't know how long I decided to draw in pencil. Of Course, the minute I scanned it I realized why I had stopped in the first place.....Shiny background anyone?!?? Anyway, when it's complete I'll do a better job of editing the drawing to eradicate the shine, however for now I just painted it black hahaha.
So I've been wanting to draw this guy for quite a while, particularly since falling in love with his portrayal of a young Magneto in Xmen, but more so since watching Jane Eyre. After my last drawing I wanted to get back to doing what I personally think I do best which is a full on portrait. Drawing the whole body just gets awfully tiring to me. Anyways, the ear is terrible, so I implore all you good people not to look at it. I tried to fix it, I really did, but well......I failed
I used my good old prismacolor pencils for this portrai, I just love the way they blend and ordinary A4 cartridge paper. It wasn't a very time consuming drawing, once the eyes are done everything else was pretty quick. However, it took be forever to get the proportions right! Except that ear, I did crap with that ear...
Comment are always appreciated!! Especially if you add to your favourites, I'd love some feedback lease
I am sooo proud of myself for finishing this. It is incredibly rare for me to draw something that includes the body and background instead of just the face because I tend to have difficulties fitting everything in. I worked so hard on the proportions for this and I think for the most part they look fine. There are always going to be parts I don't like, I'm sure everybody's the same though! This is of course, Loki, AKA- The God Of Mischief from Marvel Comics. Although I chose to draw Tom Hiddleston's take on this fabulous character because well, it's Tom Hiddleston. I couldn't pass up a chance to draw him!! I had lots of fun drawing this amazing character although it took an awfully long time!
Prismacolor pencils (nothing else really blends like these babies!) Windsor & Newton A4 Cartridge Pad Approx 15-20 Hours
Anyhooo, Although I appreciate all of the favourites (and by all means continue ) I would also appreciate some feedback
So it is now summer, I am on my summer break from university, passed all my exams and still I find myself incapable of finishing anything and everything I start. I start every piece of artwork with full enthusiasm but find myself bored very quickly. Thant probably lies in my own personal flaw of getting bored incredibly fast and changing my likes and dislikes on a regular basis. And as my all of my artwork tends to be fan art, when my enthusiasm for a certain subject stops, so too does the artwork. This is just me feeling the need to explain why I very rarely finish anything, so my apologies to everybody who follows me!!!
